Washington DCs leading food and lifestyle destination website has an opportunity for a successful online advertising sales rep. Rep will sell advertising and sponsorships available throughout site.
Rep will be responsible for outside cold calling to businesses of all sizes looking to target high end consumers.
Phone prospecting, account management and will be supplied with some leads. Rep will have support from our award winning design and programming team and leading Food writer in Metropolitan DC area.
They will work with and sell to local, regional and national businesses, so the potential for substantial earnings is very real. Outside sales experience preferred, but we will consider enthusiastic and creative individuals without experience.
Responsibilities:
Prospecting, qualifying, obtaining appointments, preparing formal presentations and proposals while closing new business. Also nurturing established relationships with active clients of the site.
Qualifications:
Four year college degree and at least two years successful selling experience with proven track record closing ad sales opportunities.
Must be a great communicator and be able to make presentations that are clear and concise, while exhibiting strong follow through and relationship building skills. Excellent negotiation and customer service skills a must.
Background and interest in the culinary world (specifically the mid-Atlantic region) a plus.
